Archer Happy, Film at 11
We've got something different for the website with this post. We have our first video presentation. Popcorn ready? Lets roll the film ...
So, we've spoken about clickers in the past and how they are used to put the same amount of oooff into the arrow so making your vertical dispersion as small as possible. Well, we thought we would give you an actual demonstration of it in use. Literally just 6 seconds - from start of draw, to anchor, the hold, clicker goes off and the shot leaves.
The archer in question was filming his shot to better understand what happens at the clicker during the final stages of his shot cycle. Watch the point of the arrow and how he pulls to anchor just short of the clicker going off (2 seconds). Aiming and expanding takes around 3 seconds, the clicker drops and the shot goes (around 0.16 seconds) then recovery. Worth watching a few times to if only to see what is a pretty good anchor (much to his and everyone else's amazement). Now, if he can only fix the other 99 things that makes his archery suck .. he'd be a happy archer**.
ps: if you mouse over the video after watched once you should see the settings in the bottom right hand corner. This can slow the video down for a better look.

** obviously a lie .. no archer is ever "happy" for more than a couple of seconds!
