AGM passes without Bloodshed

Glasgow Archers AGM
GA’s 2022 AGM passed into club minutes last night with both a “business as usual” and the “biggest shake up in years” vibe. Effectively the core of the committee will not change with the Treasurer, Vice-Chair, Tournament Organizer, Equipment Manager and Child Protection officer continuing their roles. Membership Secretary was filled by a returning Catherine Coddington.
Significantly, stepping down from the Chair was Wee Dave Hutton who saw us through the hugely disruptive times of COVID, our fields change of ownership, purchase of new containers and the rise of Captain Sausage. Now that the club is in the main settled and stable once more, taking on the leadership role is comparatively new archer Gordon Hall. Coming to archery fresh, Gordon has seen where we have strengths and where things could change for the better. He has a plan which will bring a new energy and change the face of the club! The club Secretary role has been filled by Stephanie Hall (the missis) who will endeavour to keep the more unruly committee members under control (looking at you V-C!).
New roles of Training Co-Ordinator, Records Officer, Social Media Manager and Inclusion Officer will be confirmed through changes in the constitution with volunteers already confirmed to the roles and just awaiting the memberships ratification.
The times they are a changin’.

Best wishes to you all. I look forward to a continuing relationship with Glasgow Archers
