Not being Distracted shooting
Paris 2024: In the Men's Team Olympic semifinals, Korea had a 3-1 edge over China. The Koreans had a two point advantage in the 4th end as Kim Je Deok took his place on the line looking to put Korea through to the Gold medal match. At this point, an insect (possibly a wasp) with no regard for fair play, decided to intrude on Kim's shot and got into his face.
The Korean wafted the insect away several times. It persisted in his face, even landing on his hand. All archers know how distracting this can be. With the clock ticking, the Korean still holding at full draw, released, and shot a 10. Even with external influences trying to put them off ... Koreans will kick yo ass in archery.
Moral of this story ... learn distraction shooting**. It might keep you on the path to gold.
