Today we start a new series of articles - Single Arrow Shootoffs. Basically, a one line, thought provoking comment with a little extra opinion thrown in to get you started .. thinking!

Todays thought ... Thinking about your score while competing will kill your performance. 

Thinking about anything except execution of the current shot will distract you. You are putting an expectation on the round that it has no right to have because your head is no longer in that round. Focus on nothing but the shot in hand and not your score. Not during an end. Not between ends. Not during breaks. Not during lunch. Fantasies about PB's or medals can wait till the scoresheet is signed because they aren't going to help you during the round.
