Archery Shopping Advice

This is it! You’ve been shooting for a few months and decided what style of bow you want to shoot. Now you can’t wait to get your own equipment. Figuring out what to get can be daunting and since archery equipement is not exactly cheap mistakes can be a bit expensive. Do not be alarmed, we’re here to help.

1st step: speak to someone at the club. We’ve all been there so chances are we can give some advice on what (not to) do. We can also give you a list of items that will be essential and others than can wait another couple of months before you’ll need them.

2nd step: browse! There are no archery shops in Scotland but the Internet is your friend. Write up a shopping list, compare prices and write down anything that is unclear.

3rd step: speak to someone again to review your list and clarify any questions you have.

4th step: get the credit card! Most archery suppliers deliver in Scotland so home delivery is an option. Otherwise the closest shops will be Newcastle and Preston.
